Yellow journalism and self censorship are a danger to the press freedom,
said speakers at a function organised by the Pakistan Freelance Journalists
Association (PFJA) and the member of International Federation of
Journalists on World Press Freedom Day. Chairing the function, PFJA
President Iqbal Yousafi said the press freedom was impossible when there
was poverty, tension and corruption. Anwar Zahoori, Shaukatullah, Mazhar
Ali Adeeb, Muhammad Hussain Chaudhary, Naeem Qureshi, Faqeer Hussain,
Ibrahim Tahir, Sharif Usmani also addressed. In the end, Shahid Orakzai and
Ardeshir Cowasjee were given the PFJA membership.
