PFJA condemns PAPRA

Lahore - Pakistan Freelance Journalists Association (PFJA) President Iqbal
Yousafi has condemned the establishment of Press And Publications
Authority.
He said institutions like NEPRA and OGRA were also made for the
betterment of the people, but they had miserably failed to deliver and it
would happen with PAPRA as well.
He said in develop countries the rules and regulations of Print Media
were made by the Press Council, which met the international standards,
acceptable to all. Yousafi said that the Information Minister had prepared
the draft for Press Council in which the PFJA also presented some proposals
but for some reasons it could not be implemenented.
He said efforts will be continued to oppose the establishment of PAPRA
and the PFJA will support APNS and CPNE in this regard.
