Pakistan Freelance Journalists Association (PFJA) celebrated the
Independence Day by awarding Quaid-e-Azam Badge to a senior journalist
Mumtaz Ahmed Khan who took part in the Pakistan Movement. The badge was
pinned by the PFJA President Iqbal Yousafi.
Mumtaz Ahmed Khan worked closely with Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah
as a student and journalist. Many freelance journalists were present on the
occasion including Dr Masoom Abedi, Allama Anwar Zahoori, Prof Mazhar Ali
Adeeb and Imtiaz Rasheed Qureshi.
The all prayed for the prosperity of the country.
In the end Mumtaz Ahmed Khan talked about his association with
Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah while he was a student and journalist.
Formed in 1979, Pakistan's First Internationally recognized Journalists organization Pakistan Freelance Journalists Association (PFJA) and former member of International Federation of Journalists "There can be no press freedom if journalists exist in the conditions of Corruption ,Proverty or Fear."
