PFJA appeals for french Journalists' release

THE NEWS - Pakistan Freelance Journalists Association [PFJA] has appealed
for the release of 2 French journalists held hostage in Iraq . PFJA
President Iqbal Yousafi, in a statement urged the captors to release the
journalists on humanitarian grounds.
He said no religion, especially Islam allows to do so. Yousafi said that
decision of Frence Goverment to impose their law on Muslim Students was
widely criticized in the world but the kidnaping of French journalists
would also provide the basis for world wide criticism.

THE NATION - Pakistan Freelance Journalists Association has condemned the
arrest of two French journalists.
PFJA President Iqbal Yousafi in a statement condemned the Interior Ministry
for his objection to their visit stay in Quetta. He said the journalists
who where warned of terrorists in Pakistan will have to be careful about
Pakistani goverments also. He has demanded the Prime Minister's
intervention for their release.
