Formed in 1979, Pakistan's First Internationally recognized Journalists organization Pakistan Freelance Journalists Association (PFJA) and former member of International Federation of Journalists "There can be no press freedom if journalists exist in the conditions of Corruption ,Proverty or Fear."

LAHORE (PR)-President Pakistan Freelance Journalists Association, Iqbal Yousufi conducted the traditional Independence Day celebrations by pinning Quaid-i-Azam badge on Pakistan Movement veteran, former Senator and a senior journalist Mumtaz Ahmed Khan in respect of his meritorious service rendered to the nation as a close associate of the late Quaid-i-Azam.

On this auspicious occasion Dr. Masoom Abidi, Allama Anwar Zahoori, Prof Mazhar Ali Adeeb, Imtiaz Rashid Qureshi and other freelance journalists were also present. After badge-pinning ceremony prayers were also offered for the stability, prosperity and solidarity of Pakistan.
